Preliminaries
Qoya
My Qoya classes are changing around a bit: they'll be starting at 9:30am instead of 11:30. The April classes will follow a slightly different format to make it shorter, a little over a half hour. Hopefully this schedule will make it a little easier for people to attend. If you're interested, email me: adrienne@soilandsunshine.com.
New Workshop: A Spring Reset for Everybunny
I'll be leading a fun lunchtime workshop on Wednesday, April 19th from 11:30am to about 1:30 at Unwindings in Kalamazoo. We'll eat a delicious lunch together, and I'll talk about healthy eating and easy ways to improve your nutrition. Only $35, lunch included. To register, email me: adrienne@soilandsunshine.com.
Stories!
I've finally started to set up a page for my fiction writing: adriennemariewood.com. You can find universal links to my published stories there. It's still under construction and a few links aren't yet live, but will be soon (by the end of April!).
Fudge Brownies
My mom and I always disagreed on what kind of brownies were the best: cake or fudge style. She preferred cake, while I argued for fudge. I might have a small tendency to be a smart-alec, thus the photo. These brownies are one of my favorite Sunday night treats.
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9x9 baking pan.
In a bowl combine:
8 oz (1 stick butter), melted
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
Stir well. Beat in:
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla (I just slosh some in…)
3/4 cup flour
Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
My cookbook says that this will make 24 (tiny, bite-sized) brownies. I usually cut it into 9, or divide it into 4 massive brownies. It's really good with chopped walnuts added in, but I'm the only one who likes them that way, so I refrain.
